FAQ’s
▶ How Does The Connecting Church And Home Piece Work?
We desire to produce a gospel-centered curriculum that will equip parents to thrive in their God-given roles as their child's primary disciple, thereby, connecting the church and the home.
Treasuring Christ Curriculum provide a weekly take home resource that encourages parents to have meaningful gospel conversations about the material that was taught in Sunday School. This piece works as both a review of the previous week's lesson and a discipleship and training tool for parents.
Here are four practical ways you can use the Connecting Church and Home resource page:

Treasuring Christ Curriculum is not only designed for the students, it is also designed for the teachers. Your teachers are also on a spiritual journey, just like those they teach. The "For Your Edification" section of each lesson is written with the teacher's personal faith journey in mind. As we spoke to pastors across the country, two priorities that surfaced were:
▶ How Will Treasuring Christ Curriculum Benefit The Learners?
Children and students alike need to see that God's Word speaks truth into the world in which they live. In the Engage section, we connect their world with God's written Word. Every week children and students come to church with different backgrounds, pressures, temptations, joys and fears. It is vital that they know God's Word is truth that they can apply to every area of their lives. In the Discover section of each lesson, we want children and students to discover for themselves the truth of God's Word. Our priority on the Bible and its focus on the Gospel motivates us to share this treasure with others. In this section, we also work with singer/songwriter Daniel Renstrom who has written music for this project. Our desire is that students treasure Christ above all else and that they have a passion to show the world around them that they treasure Christ, a burden to go to their family, friends, neighbors and to the nations with this good news, and an encounter with Christ.▶ How Do I Purchase Treasuring Christ Curriculum?

▶ Can you define the different sections of each lesson in Treasuring Christ Curriculum?
There are four main sections of each lesson: For Your Edification, Engage, Discover, and Treasure.
▶ Why is the “for the nations” theme so important in Treasuring Christ Curriculum?
Whether we know it or not (or admit it or not), our children are on a mission each and every day, and so are we. We can live on mission for ourselves, with the desire to make our name great. Or we can live on mission for God. When children grow up in families that love missions and diversity, they are more likely as adults to do the same. The best thing parents can do is create an environment where their children can see the sadness that sin produces and hear God calling their names to help those who can't help themselves. This calling as parents is not a duty or an obligation; it is a gracious privilege offered to us. We seek to team with parents in giving students a picture of the world that is in desperate need for a Savior.
Acts 2:39: "For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself."
▶ What if my church doesn’t have typical Sunday School for children and youth?
We understand that each church and ministry is designed differently. Treasuring Christ Curriculum is flexible and can be used in any setting: traditional Sunday School, small groups, Wednesday night mission Bible studies, morning Bible studies for moms with children. Basically, if you have a need for teaching children and youth, Treasuring Christ can be the material you can use.▶ How long does each lesson take to teach?
We have discovered that Sunday School with children and youth vary in how much time you have with them. We designed Treasuring Christ to have the flexibility that churches and classrooms need to be effective. Most lessons range from 70-80 minutes. However, if your time is longer or shorter than this, you can cut an activity, shorten a game, or forego the opening activity. We would advise not to shorten the Bible teaching time as this will send a message to your students and families that games are more important than the Word of God.▶ Is there a sample lesson we can view before we purchase the curriculum?
Yes, we have a sample lesson for all of the four age groups available for free download. If you would like to access these samples please click here: Free Sample Downloads▶ What is the return policy for Treasuring Christ Curriculum?
There are no returns available since all of the material is downloadable.▶ Why does Treasuring Christ Curriculum use the English Standard Version?
We know there are many scholarly and well-written versions that could be used. For the sake of uniformity and consistency we have chosen the ESV and we believe that we have done so on good advice. Consider what Pastor John Piper of Bethlehem Baptist has to say:
"I have found that there isn't any version better in striking that balance between accuracy and usability and understandability than the ESV."
You can read more about the ESV at www.esv.org.
▶ What are the specific age groups for the Treasuring Christ Curriculum?
Let us clarify for you what we mean about our age groups (these are changeable to your specific situation).
